Students assemble, install, and repair plumbing fixtures and pipe in a section of stud wall, then
determine labor and material costs. Students will learn to assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures
of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes. Students
are exposed to typical plumbing using plastic, copper, and galvanized pipe.
PLUMBER WORKSTATION
CURRICULUM:
Curriculum manual is provided
in a three ring binder, with pages contained in page
protectors. Easy to follow step by step activities are highlighted using
full color photographs. Once introduced to career
related information (job description, education, and
training requirements, job prospects, and income ranges) the
student begins a "hands on" work experience, using
professional tools of the trade to complete projects or tasks. An audio
tape follows the manual word-for-word. Pre-and post
-tests, worksheets, answer sheets, and instructors guide.
PLUMBER WORKSTATION:
Stand-up workstation with see-through locking tool cabinet,
padlock/key, supply drawer, power strip, and audio cassette player with headphones.
