Students learn about various roof types, equipment and materials, and then shingle a section of
roof according to building codes. They also explore a variety of tasks in roofing materials (other
than metal) to make them waterproof including composition shingles or sheets, wood shingles and
asphalt and gravel.

CURRICULUM:
Curriculum manual is provided in a three-ring binder,
with pages contained in page protectors. Easy to follow
step by step activities are highlighted using full color
photographs. Once introduced to career related information
(job description, education and training requirements,
job prospects, and income ranges) the student begins a "hands
on" work experience, using professional tools of the
trade to complete projects or tasks. An audio tape follows
the manual word for word. Pre-and post tests, worksheets,
answer sheets, and instructors guide.

Desk style, wooden framed mock-up of ½ of a gable roof
with removable deck boards with tool box and equipment stored
inside the desk. Locking tool box, lock/key, power strip, and
audio cassette player with headphones.

Aluminum straight edge, safety glasses, aprons, flat
bar, roofers hammer, staple gun, tack puller, tool pouch
with belt, utility knife, aviation snips, tape measure,
