a variety of job tasks in installing, connecting, and testing telephone and
cable television wiring and equipment, using professional materials and
methods.

CURRICULUM:
Curriculum manual is provided in a three-ring binder, with pages contained in
page protectors. Easy to follow step by step activities are highlighted using
full color photographs. Once introduced to career related information (job
description, education and training requirements, job prospects, and income
ranges) the student begins a "hands-on" work experience, using professional
tools of the trade to complete projects or tasks. An audio tape follows the
manual word-for-word. Pre-and post tests, worksheets, answer sheets, and
instructors guide.
Wire a punch block using a punch down tool
Measure, cut, run, and staple telephone cable
Make connections at voice line jacks
Test Phone line using tone generator and inductive amplifier
Measure, cut, run and clip coaxial cable
Make cable connections at a punch block and snap-in cable connector
Make DSL conections at a punch block and snap-in jack
Disassemble telephone, data, and cable telephone circuitry
TELEPHONE & CABLE TV INSTALLER WORKSTATION:
Stand-up workstation with see thru locking tool cabinet, padlock/key, supply
drawer, power strip, and audio cassette player with headphones.
