Activities include pattern selection, cutting, bending, assembley, arrangement of holding
devices, brazing, welding and torch cutting of metal. Each student will take home a project completed at
this workstation.
CURRICULUM:
Curriculum manual is provided in a three-ring binder,
with pages contained in page protectors. Easy to follow
step by step activities are highlighted using full color
photographs. Once introduced to career related information
(job description, education and training requirements, job
prospects and income ranges) the student begins a
"hands on" work experience, using professional tools of the
trade to complete projects or tasks. An audio tape follows
the manual word ford for word. Pre-and post tests,
worksheets, answer sheets, and instructors guide.
Design welding project
Cut required metal parts
Bend and form parts on jigs
Set up holding assembly for brazing parts
Light torch and adjust flame
Clean and flux parts
Braze parts into finished project
Cut metal with torch in specified pattern
Torch shutdown and tank shutoff.
WELDER WORKSTATION:
Locking desk with see-through lift-top, built-in lock/key, Inside
of workstation is completly lined with metal for safety, 24"
fluorescent light, power strip, and audio cassette player with headphones.
